I did not do a lot of wedding stuff in the last week. I did find out the stamp I ordered is now in the mail. Soon it will be time to emboss/stamp some napkins. I really hope Hobby Lobby has my tools on sale next week.
I did start working on programs. I got a start but Joel and I have a lot to decide on before I continue. It is a work in progress for sure!
I would love this snow storm to really happen but I am not sure I have enough DIY projects to fill my time. I posted the pictures of two more options for the ring bearer pillows. I decided I did not Love the first ones that I made and since they were a whole $2 to make; I don't mind starting over. So please share your opinion on which pillow you like best.
I recieved my 350 blue crystals for the cake topper that I still have not ordered yet. So you think 350 would be enough but um...nope...it is not going to be enough I am afraid of. I will be ordering the letter H this week that I will cover in the crystals. I will post the progress of that as well.
I was hoping to get the stamp in the mail that I ordered but not here yet. I am going to try embossing the napkins. Why not? If it doesn't work it is just one napkin that I have to throw away. (reason #25 that this longer engagement is not such a bad deal...I have time to try stuff and throw it out if I don't like it!) Maybe that is a good Blog idea...all the good reasons for our longer engagement!
Seriously though, what am I going to do if I am stuck in house for 5 days with
Saturday night I decided that I want to have personalized napkins during our cocktail hour. I did some price comparison and decided this will be another DIY project. For the stamp and napkins it will run me under $30. You can pay $25 for 30 personalized napkins or something crazy like that. I figure it will be a fun and easy project once the stamp gets here. Now it is time to find nice napkins on sale!
I sewed the ring bearer pillows and attached the flower to them. That took some muscles. I had to use the plyers to pull the needle through the pillow when I was stringing the ribbon through them. I will have to get opinions on how they look.
I wanted to do the memory charm today but the printer decided it was Sunday and did not want to work. I guess I will have to print it at lunch tomorrow. I got photo paper and have two different pictures of my dad so I can decide which one looks better when it is 1"by 1"! I got the small frame at a store called Arty Crafty for 50%. I figure that the florist can tie the charm into my bouque. I will post pictures when I get it finished (hopefully sometime this week!)
So once the charm is done, then I have napkins to do. I am going to need to find more projects!!!
Yesterday was the day to figure out the ring bearer pillow. After spending an hour at Hobby Lobby wondering around ( I do that too often but only spent $6 for all that wondering). First I got some light blue satin thinking it may work for the flower on the ring bearer pillow. Then I headed to Hancock Fabric which I learned there that I can use the 40% off coupons from Hobby Lobby at Hancock! Score!!! So the fabric for the flower was less than $5! I was very happy to pay that for taffeta.
Last night while watching TV with Joel I got my prunning sheers or what ever they are called and starting cutting. I actually got the correct gage wire to tie the flower so I was very happy. It gave Joel and I a chance to talk a little about the wedding.
So yesterday, ring bearer pillow flower is complete (very happy about that). Now I need to make the pillow, re-phase I need to sew the pillow!
Today was a big day for wedding planning. I signed the contract for reception hall. With that I had to determine what time all the events are taking place. The wedding is so far away but I am so excited. I think the day will be fun. I am glad I am breaking some of the Wisconsin traditions (the lag between ceremony and the reception will not be going on at our Wedding!)
I think this weekend will be a least one fun craft project for the wedding. I am not sure what but I am sure I can find something to do!
