I knew it would be a random shopping adventure that I would find the hoodies for the day of prep.  I want a white hoodie and all my girls in black (since their dresses are black).  I wanted something that would be comfortable.  Found it!  Shopping at Sam's Club at lunch.  I found short sleeve zip up hoodies.  I got one for myself in white and one for each of the girls.  I thought it would be a fun picture with us all in our hoodies.  I have iron on "bridesmaid", "Bride" and "Maid of Honor" to put somewhere on them.  I will need to find a little hoodie as it gets closer to Izzy's size.  I want her to have one that says Flower girl.  One more project for this weekend.

Table numbers are complete. Check.
Bridesmaids personalized hangers are done. Check!

I had fun figuring out the personalized hangers.  I had to use two different wire since there was one hard name to do with the tricker wire.  I hope the girls like them.

I may start printing invites tonight...It is a big step.

Rehearsal dinner location is booked!  Mark that off the list of things to do.  I am so excited about where we are having it.  It is a locally owned place in my home town that as a kid we got to go to only as a special occasion.  They have great food and a great salad bar (the salad bar was a must for rehearsal dinner!)/

Five weeks and it will be time for our engagement party.  I am getting excited.  I got a cake from the bakery who is doing our wedding cake.  Yummy, I am so excited.  I am trying to figure out what to write on the cake for the party but have no clue.

I will blog a bit more later.

The day started early today.  Joel and I had Pre-Cana.  For all you Catholic folks, you know all about this day.  I really thought after being away all day I would not want to really do much when I get home.  I was wrong.
I finished putting on all the crystals on the cake topper.  I used all but 50 of the second order of crystals.  I think it turned out very nice.  I like that is nothing like I have seen used.
I had a chance to get to Hobby Lobby and buy the rest of the flip flops for the dancing shoe basket.  I hope I got the right mix of sizes.  All the flip flops have been tied together and labled to the correct size.  The basket is stuffed full.  I hope the shoes are used to keep ladies out on the dance floor longer the night of our wedding.
Since I had the glue and the crystals out, I finished the bridesmaid initials for their bouquets.  I am excited that each girl will know which bouquet is theirs the day of the wedding.  Just a little touch to personalized a few things.

As we eat dinner, Joel decides to tell me that I spelled party wrong on my blog.  My first reaction was, "my blog, what are you talking about".  Then he says, you know the wedding one.  Oh, he actually remembered me talking about and knew where to find it.  As you can tell, I am a bit surprised.  It does make me feel good knowing he may not ask about wedding stuff all the time, he can at least catch up on this on the website!

Tonight I needed a project since it was all reruns tonight.  I decided I wanted to try to do a mock-up of our table numbers.  I did the first table number mock-up and decided that it needed a little more.  So with a thin ribbon added, it was just the way I wanted it.  I will print the first layer out on white cardstock and it will be great.  I will have to glue together when I have the time to measure every piece that goes together.

I am in the waiting phase right now.  I ordered supplies I am waiting for to get going on the next projects or to finish started products.

I got the basket to hold the flip flops for the reception.  I am excited to so little different things at our wedding.

One of the great Knottie, SuMmErKuTie, shared with me the template for personalized water bottles.  The template was a huge help and wonderful for her to share.  I have been customizing the template for Joel and I and love office 2007 with the little details I could not find in the old version.

One benefit from time to time with my job is I am forced to go out in stores and look at different sections of the stores, look at competitive ideas and try to come up with new ways to sell stuff.  Part of that means going up and down a lot of isles in the stores.  Yesterday I got to spend some time in Target.  Oh, did I have fun.  After find some work stuff it was jackpot on the wedding stuff.  I found my out of town bags for less than the cheap brown bags with handles.  I also found the gift bags for the wedding party.  It was one of those finds where you want to do the happy dance in the middle of the isle.

Last night I started painting our cake topper.  I painted it a warm white.  Next it is time to bling it out.

I have a lot of stuff now to work on.  I need to get a lot of stuff organized for our trip back to Wisconsin in May.

Where do I start with this weekend?  I guess with Saturday.  I had lots of fun running around with the great weather we had here in Arkansas.  I did some engagement dress shopping and had great luck and found the dress I plan on wearing.  I got home from shipping and had a jump in my step when I got the mail and our engagement invites had arrived.  After ripping the package open, I had to decided what pens I wanted to use to address them.  I know I am crazy but it is a fun excuse to buy some fun pens.  I decided pink and green.  Time to head back out and get some fun stuff fom Hobby Lobby.  (I think I am addicted to that store).  Found some fun pens and then decided I should get the plates and some supplies for the e-party.  Checked prices at my addicted store but decided to go to Party City.  Good choice since Party City had the Damask pattern in light blue and white for plates.  Fun, Fun. Dinner plates in blue, black and white; cake plates in damask blue and white, napkins in white; all done.  Mark that off the list
.
Sunday, Joel and I did our first registry.  We registered at Kohl's.  We wanted to start our registry just in case. Joel actually had a lot of fun registering.  He did some reading of labels then he was "just scan it, you know you want it".  We have some practical things on the list with some wish list items.  Now everyone will have know what to get us for Christmas this year! Kohl's is really good about registeries and gave me a stack of 15% off coupons for people who buy off the registery.

After all that fun with scanning, I addressed all the invites for the e-party.  I love my pens but they are taking forever to dry.  I maybe readdressing all of them if the pens do not dry fast enough or dray all the way and not smug.

This week has been all about shoes.  As many of you know, one of my favorite things to shop for and to look at.  I had a very successful week.  I found my shoes from zappo.  I have to go make sure the color is right against my dress but I love the style and love how well it match design wise to my dress.  The girls shoes, oh how fun.  So I did some looking online and had the girls check out a few.  Then I did some more looking and found a cute pair at JcPenney's.  Yesterday after work I was on a mission.  I went in and tried on two of the pairs.  First pair, omg kill your feet in 3 minutes.  That pair was out.  Onto the next pair and score.  Cute, comfortable and an additional 30% off the sale price and they could get all the sizes I needed.  An interesting fact about my girls and I, we all have boats for feet.  Out of the 5 of us there is 3 that wear a 10 and 2 that wear a 9 1/2.  The girls shoes are being shipped here and will be in next week.  Yeah!!!

So Crafty Eddie is making the H for our wedding cake topper. I am excited to have another project to work on.  I will be painting it and then blinging it out!  I cannot wait.  Maybe if it works well, I will have numbers made for the tables and I can bling them out too.  Hmmmm.  We will have to see how it goes.
What project should I work on tonight?
